Eminem’s Publisher Suing Over… Legal Downloads?

?In a strange turn of events, according to macrumors.com, Eminem’s publisher is suing Apple for sale of his songs through the I-Tunes store. Their argument is that when you sign a record deal, you are agreeing that the label can sell the CD recordings but that nothing says?they have the rights to sell MP3s.

“Eminem’s music publisher states that they have never authorized Universal to allow the downloads and have demanded that Apple cease and desist online distribution of their music. Apple has reportedly refused. ” – Mac Rumors

Interesting idea. This is something to follow, since it could affect ALL music!
