Intern for Metal Maniacs!

 Yep Yep – they are looking, and you can apply by messaging them on their myspace (link below) but according to their message, there are a few things to note before you do!
DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS IF YOU:
1. Don’t live in NYC or somewhere with easy access to midtown Manhattan (Jersey, Brooklyn, etc.).
2. Aren’t interested in music journalism as a profession.
3. Are an idiot.
4. Are annoying.
5. Have no indoor voice or don’t know what I mean when I say “indoor voice.”
6. Can’t operate the interwebs (it’s not a big truck!).
7. Think that all music writers do is party with rock stars.
8. Think Disturbed is “extreme metal.”
9. Have never written about music before.
10. Would only be replying to plug your band.If you pass the above criteria and are in college looking for a couple credits (or just some experience in the field), we need interns to start right away. Send us a msg (on their myspace:Â http://www.myspace.com/metalmaniacsmag )Â and if you seem like you’re not totally insane, or at least insane in a way that we might be able to work with you, we’ll respond with a place to send your resume. And don’t be afraid to tout your metal cred and say a little bit about yourself–something we might not be able to figure out from looking at your page and seeing those pictures you took of yourself in your underwear. Viking helmets a plus.
