Brain ‘Head’ Welch (former guitarist for Korn) on His Life Before and After Christianity
Reading the interview with Head on Christiantoday.com gives you a real glimpse into what can happen when a rough family life and being around the wrong people collides with sudden fame and money. Just think of any VH1 Behind the Music episode you have seen to get an idea.
I remember back in , oh 2003 or so seeing video of Korn and immediately wondering why the hell he was so skinny! Do you remember a little while there where he was looking like total crap? I’m not trying to be overly mean - just …you know that look someone gets (as we have seen a lot on tv) when they are on either crack or speed? That look.
Turns out it was crystal meth - one of the nastier addictions to kick.
What is unique, I think, is that religion was what ended up helping him gain control and refocus on raising his daughter - both of which are great things. I have trouble relating, since I am not religious myself, but it is clear that this was an incredibly life changing event for Welch.

The day organized religion does anything long term good for society is the day armageddon begins. religion in the worl has done more to start wars destroy man and his relationships with other people. do your research organized religion is the bane of society although the jesus freaks and islamists alike would both tel you otherwise and that im an infidel. well trust me on this just because one is outspoken and the other passive doesnt mean either wouldnt condemn you to a world of hell and behead you for you so called heresy….just think about what the origins of the iron maiden are. another jesus freak who doesnt realize what he’s really pushing
