Alice Cooper

Yeah, isn’t that random?

The center, which will be placed on land donated by Grand Canyon University near Phoenix, AZ and will feature a recording studio, concert hall,  and a coffee house with a stage. Why?

“If you get a kid that’s just as addicted to that guitar as he would be addicted to selling crack, it will change his life right then and there. I’m sure of that,” Cooper, 59, told Reuters in an interview.

“Some of these kids just don’t have a chance. All their environment does for them is teach them how to dodge bullets and be really good criminals.”

He’s already raised about $2 million of the $7 million needed to fund it - so it looks it will be happening! Very cool. This would be nuts for a kid who is into music and can’t quite afford a guitar, lessons, or strings amps.. you get the picture.
