Nice one, I’m really suprised that it’s finally released (and so fast). I like it, kinda Killer Wolf-Vibe though I can’t see the meaning of the Video…is Danzig (the Band) dead now?

I think you might make some sense out of it when you consider the symbolism in the ram, the veiled Isis like woman, and the burning photographs, one of which is Robert Johnson….

Perhaps the coffin represents the burden he must bare or the price he must pay to the mystery woman, perhaps a voodoo preistess.
That’s my 2 cents. Cool vid though, I like the western vibe.

I beleive the pictures are being carried in the coffin. At the end, I guess the voodoo lady poisoned him. Its hard to see on my computer though.

its hard to put into words how much respect i have for this man.he is an innovative genius,the video is great and until the day i take my last breath,which isnt too far away,i will be a fan&i dont think the coffin is for dead kids that is morbid.

I have loved Danzig ever since 1988,Some of his tracks that are some of my best loved music of all time. The lost tracks of Danzig was a gasp of fresh air, “This was classic danzig”

Unfortunatley, This video was about as good as the rest of his videos a 2/5. I know alot of people will disagree with we due to the fact that you believe I am attacking his music, but I am not.
I love everything he has come out with, but i have always felt that his videos “dumb” down his music.

Dig the video, definatly has the lucifuge era vibe on that one, Reminded me of johhny cash in a way. I always like that danzig shot most of his vids in the Black and White wide screen format.
Lost Tracks of Danzig was definatly a great release on its own, From what i have read and heard, Glenn had quite a few songs still unreleased. I have a danzig rarites cd that i recently required and it is from the 1988 rehearsal session and there definatly something to check out. There is an unamed song on there i have never heard, there are partial lyrics, it was obviously a song in the works but probly never finished.
I had seen Danzig on there last tour with the original line up before joey C replaced chuck biscuits. I hope before if Danzig hangs it up maybe he will get that line up of, Errie, John and Chuck back in the studio or a tour, man that would be killer if that original lineup put out new material. Fucking killer that would be.

My impression is SAD,LONLEY,MISUNDERSTOOD.I can smell the trees behind him when hes walking.I can smell his hair in the sun.I think the woman is him.Nice little bridge…think ive seen it before.cant wait to see it again.And,if he is being poisoned,its his own free will…He already knows this.I couldnt find one lie in this video.Truth is refreshing,even if it hurts.

it’s a great video . I know my name means child of god . You would think that he would be the last person to listen to glen . But , anyways it’s a great song but for a softer song i would have chosen silver and gold . I love danzig’s music cause he’s got one of those iconic voices . danzig has always done his own thing his way,this video backs that up.he understands it weather we do or not doesnt matter,he felt that this was the way to put his song into video form.and for that reason,his way or no way ,wether i get it or not ill keep buying his records etc.til he stops releasing.

i left a response #21but i just figured out that the robert johnson photo is a reference to sailing your soul,so maybe the coffin is his,the photo is proof of saling his soul and the lady,pretty and appealing, is the reaper or even satan collecting on the agreement.think about it.

This is an AMAZING song but a disapointing video. The concept and symbolism is very cool but the execution just fails imho. The Django reference is cool but none of the shots give it the deserved respect. The mini coffin may have to do with symbolism but it just looks dumb. Glenn should hire a director simply to get an objective vision of his ideas and the technical knowledge needed for this.
This video reminds me of the old Lucifuge tape I own. It’s cool but kind of dumb at the same time. Something is missing.
but… THE SONG IS GREAT!!! I love the Lost Tracks. Crawl, Cold Cold Rain, Bound By Blood and Pain are real Danzig classics!

yeah i tend to agree with most people on here , the video is a little boring and i don’t really understand what it means but you know what? that’s ok because if you look at some stupid ‘wanna’ be metal band on MTV , their videos are more ‘happening’ but the music sucks.i’d rather have awesome music than a shitty music but great video.Glenn is the Man!

Glenn Danzig is coolest SOB on the planet. Without him and his music, a lot of the bands out today wouldnt exist. He never gets the credit he deserves because he has always stayed underground. Only true, smart music fans will ever get it.

You must know Glenn to understand the symbolism.
Glenn has always hated mainstream life and religious ideology and followings. He credits Satan not so much for being the prince of darkness abut for being a rebel against what he believes is wrong.
This video symbolizes Glenn’s witness to the world and all of its horrors and injustice. His soul carries the weight of this burden to the point of desperately wanting freedom from it. Freedom from this world. Freedom from its beliefs.
The symbol of the photos is the old belief that a small piece of a persons soul is captured in photos when they are taken. He burns them to try and release his soul.
The female… well Glenn just loves the females. They do symbolize a lot to him though.

So, lots open to interpration here. Strongest vibe I get is from the women’s laughter. Makes you wonder about laughter, and all the seperate emotions that can precipitate it. There’s alot of hype about how humor can improve your health. What if you like to laugh at sadistic things?
