Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance) and Lin-Z (Mindless Self Indulgence) Marry at Projekt Revolution Show
Is this a total gossipy post? Yes.
You have to admit though, its the most random pairing ever. A lot of people, including myself, didnt even realize they were together at all!
How did it go down? One of the people who works for LiveNation, the company running the logistics for Projekt Revolution, just happens to be an ordained minister and performed the ceremony backstage among the radio station signs and random people. It was the last date of the tour.
Of course these are just “reports”. The radio station who was there reported it (http://area93.com/pages/Nerf.html), and rolling stone picked it up on their site, but a lot of fans just do not believe it and there has not been any kind of official announcement, so I certainly can’t say for sure.

I agree with Candace - what is up with the alcohol? MCR, and Gerard in particular, talk about being role models and saving lives. What kind of message does it send when you claim to be clean and sober and then have a bottle in your hand?
On another note, Gerard sure does move fast. I mean, how long has he known this girl? The whole thing is probably not even true but if it is, I sure hope he had the presence of mind of get a pre-nup.

MCR addict here who also loves MSI, just back from Projekt Revolution at Tinley Park IL September 1. The Chicago MCRmy and other MyChem fans have been buzzing about the couple after a picture of them kissing hit the internet 3 weeks ago. They were seen at the 9/1 Tinley Park PR show at the side stage during Placebo in a cozy fashion.
This union is a Chemical Indulgence that will ROCK!!! MSI and MyChem hit Europe and the UK on tour together after MCR takes a well deserved break.

Hey, I’m happy that gerard got married, i hope he’s really happy (= and people that said that was alcohol in his hands, it doesn’t matter cause at most weddings people have champaine, or for what we can see in this picture it could just be sparling cider. haha i don’t know. Don’t they look so cute together and Lin-Z is really pretty.Let them live there lives like normal people, you know that they deserve eachother. lol

There is no realy way to tell exactily what was in the bottle that he is holding however, this special event took place on the last concert date of the Projekt revolution and earlier that night they were having a special toast to thank the entire crew. Gerard brought everyone out on stage and clearly stated that they were serving sparkling cider since he couldn’t have “the real stuff”. The end of the concert can be found right here on myspace and also on utube.
As for the marrage? Those who have followed MCR since before the Black Parade know that Gerard has been angry and depressed for a long time. Just listen to the words of his songs. He said he had some demons that he was excorcising and using the songs to do that.
He has stated in interviews recently that he feels better, happier. And he is finaly doing what he has always wanted artisticly. If his marrage to Lyn-z makes him happy then true MyChem fans should also be happy. For him.

but it seems he reacted on impaulse he should of waited

and I agree Drinking at events is OK and from what I know if he had wine/beer now he would proberly chuck up because his body wouldnt be use to it..

My post is coming a full month after their marriage. I’m now officially worried.
I love Gerard to tears, don’t get me wrong, but he’s been changing DRASTICALLY over the past two months, which is how long they knew eachother before they tied the knot. He’s become more lewd on stage, cursed more, asked more sexual things of the crowd, he’s making his own bandmates uncomfortable…many fans believe she will kill his wonderful spirit. We also believe that he may have started back on drugs, but this is in no way confirmed or denied. Pray for him, meditate for him, or just think about him and hope he’ll be okay…this is only to the people that GIVE A SHIT.
BUT, to respond to SHARENZA: that was uncalled for. The comment on sobriety and MCR kids was a shot, keep that in check. Most of us aren’t addicts or druggies of any kind, we’re just some kids that like some music.
We love you, Gerard.

wow, Im really shocked! u know, i love gee to death, and i know that there are like other 10 million of fans that love him too, so.. call me whatever, but honestly i hadnt heard anything about this band MSI.. so its like wtf?!!!
well, this kinda hurts, because we expect him to stay single 4 all his life, so we wont get jealous or something, but if we really adore him as we do, we have to support him on anything that he wants to do, as long as be the best thing 4 him, so gee if u like her, go ahead, but anyway that decision was too rush and i actually agree with “The Black Parade Around The World ” that that girl is not 4 u.. its like she has been changing or something, really dont throw away everything u have done…

okay who cares if hes drinking? even if he isnt he has the right to on his wedding day of all days and he has known lyn-z for 4 years since mcr opened for them in new york i really dont believe that lyn-z would b influencing gerard to do drugs or anything like that and i really dont understand why shes so evil. shes been my role model alongside mikey way for ages even before they got married and if anyones ever been to an msi show theyd see that jimmy is just the same way on stage but nobody actually takes it seriously come on guys grow up hes a 30 almost 31 year old man if he ever confessed his undieing love to you would you not think he was a complete pedo (im serious here) ?? so leave lyn-z alone she personally could do much better than gerard (thats my own opinion) and he could do worse than her (not tht shes bad or anything) there both lucky to have each other and we all know thts waht gerards always wanted since he was sure that he would ‘die alone’
