Prong: Power of the Damager
Basically, I’m an idiot. Sometimes good music has to literally fall in my lap for me to find it.
For example: I had no idea who Prong was until a friend of mine dropped all his old cassettes on me. I had been bitching about my ghetto ass car not having a CD player, and I guess he figured this would shut me up. Â
I threw half the crap out ( seriously BRYAN ADAMS??) but one particular tape caught my eye and had me giggling Beavis and Butthead style at the name of the band.
Of course I had to listen.. and lucky for me I did.. since it was the moment I realized PRONG RULES.
Fast foward to present day MrsBarnes. It’s years later and I am trying to patiently wait for the release of their new CD “Power of the Damager”. The band seems to enjoy testing my patience by putting some of the songs off the new album on their myspace: http://www.myspace.com/prong .
“Fine, Play with my mind” is what I say… I just have to remember that Oct 2 (the release date) isn’t that far off now…
