Music for Relief Auctioning Some Music Collection Gold to Help the California Wildfire Victims
November 7th, 2007 by MrsBarnesTwenty-four fires have left over 800 square miles – over half a million acres – from Santa Barbara County to the Mexican Border in ashes, destroying more than 2,000 homes and other structures, leaving over 90 individuals injured and killing at least 12 people. The fires resulted in the largest evacuation in the state’s history forcing some 900,000 people out of their communities and homes.
 Music for Relief will be auctioning items on ebay and will donate all funds raised to the California Community Foundation’s Southern California Wildfire Relief Fund, www.calfund.org, supporting recovery efforts with a particular focus on the needy and to American Forests, www.americanforests.org, to aid the reforestation of affected areas.
