For one thing Led Zeppelin is very protective of their music so if its good enough for Page, Plant, & Jones its good enouph for me. Second off Avenged Sevenfold blows. The music is good but the lead singer sounds like a Backstreet boy.

Hell hath no fury when it comes to the Darkest of Metal. A great laugh is when you See a Band doing Paper-Doll Cut Outs or Let’s add Some Porn Girl onto our Covers. Oh and lets please show your Tats on some skin. Or a Cherry on Your cover like…Oh well. I will not say the Bands name of whom they are…Go figure!!! LOL!!! Say You Bands that Put Make-Up on your Faces with alittle Black Liner around the Eyes… I had rather Look like I have a Snake in my hands and eating the flesh with Blood pouring out of my mouth with a Mask on looking like Slipknot. i think the Godsmack remake was not Godsmacks greatest work BUT on the other hand if we didnt know it was Godsmack we would all be in an agreement that the cover is actually not bad! I like Godsmack, I dont like that they remade this song though…just like I love metallica but when they tried to remake some of the songs they remade on garage inc….i was a bit miffed! For example, TURN THE PAGE was a great cover but coming from metallica just seemed weird…check out my myspace page…i have updates of TOP 10 FAVORITE REMAKES posted every couple days….

I fucking hate Hinder anyway I’m a little more intenst then that but yeah I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU ON ALL OF THEM. Disturbeds songs were awesome. I don’t really like land of confusion but they did a good job covering it cause like you said they made it into there own music and style. But SHOUT on the other hand FUCKING AMAZING I love that song by Disturbed and of course Disturbed is my favorite band. So talk to all you awesome motherfuckers later PEACE

As far as covers are concerned, Isn’t everyone tired of the repetitive play lists that the radio has deluged us with? I am sick of hearing the same thing over and over! Even our conversations about it are somewhat redundant. The “rock” cats of the 70s were doing old blues, and on and on. Now some of us that grew up listening to the great 70s rockers want to see something new come. If I want to hear Led Zepplin tunes; I could turn to three station right now and guarantee that within a couple of songs one would be played. WHY DO I HAVE TO HEAR SOME HACK PLAY IT? OK, now your a talented band, you’ve made some money making something up. They gave you an advance to make more…. WTF is the problem now? I am a stage technician and I hear and see all the tours out. I have to have a straight face for my clients. But when I hear band’s like “Stained” (doing a HACKED rendition of a small part of the “Wall”) or any of the above mentioned bands, I always CRINDGE!!! Don’t get me wrong…some bands that do covers CAN do great with them. As far as I am concerned, lately the Exec’s have nothing better to offer than music they already own. Why do you think the new thing is not to get signed, but to do it yourself. The one that the suits can control are the ones that OWE. LACK OF CREATIVITY, to put it in THREE WORDS. I concur with the Author….STOP IT NOW!!!

Hinder? SUCKS!!! Godsmack? Good band, not so good version of a classic. Disturbed? Both songs redone well. memo to new bands out there: If you do a cover tune, do it somewhat differently than the original, or don’t do it.

i hated the 80s and all the covers but one all fuckin suck my asshole. the only good cover is god smacks remake of led zeppelins- good times bad times, the reason is because they tried to keep it origianal and not ruin it by giving it their own sound. i dont personaly think any other radio bands sound cover any zeppelin songs, but god smack did ok.

first of all Hinder sucks ass any way and are a bunch of wanna be rockers . what about when the ex singer of nightwish did covers of both alice cooper’s posion and Nirvana’s smells like teen spirit or when the dixie chicks did the cover of steve nick’s or acutally fleetwood mac’s song “landslide” these women totally ruined these songs for me.

the cover thing has got to stop. there is enough new undiscovered music that kicks ass out there to not have to listen to someone elses rehashed bullshit. it’s f’n 2007 and high time to change the views of the consumer. everyone wants to blame radio and record companies for whats on the radio but sadly that is decided by sales and if a specific song sold in the past well you get the idea. what i cant stand is that original music bands have a real hard time getting support from clubs or radio and that sucks. why do cover bands make more from a bar show than an original band that plays some covers. it’s obvious who actually works harder and cares more?
