I gotta agree with btims, I’m 19 and just because I wasn’t alive while the band was in their prime doesn’t mean I should be deprived of such a fantastic, and what would be to me life-changing experience.

Every member of my last two bands and my current one worship Zeppelin. It’s pretty much a given that almost every band in existence today, no matter how much they may deny it, has been influenced by them in some way. A band that touches so many others so deeply in so many ways, and influences people 40 years after its conception, is a treasure. Unless like Erica said they have mental, spiritual or physical reasons for not doing it, Zeppelin is a treasure that every fan should at least have the CHANCE to experience. Robert, I love you man, but don’t do this to us, PLEASE!

As A final note, I’d have given my left testicle to get two concert tickets. I’m sure there are many who would do the same.

The only has-been band to embarrass themselves on public stage/TV was The Who, and that was a good handful of years ago. Roger Daltry never could sing worth beans anyway! And as far as a reunion tour goes, I wouldn’t be going in hopes to hear a precious lost piece of my memory of what Led Zeppelin sounded like so long ago. They have all been doing their own thing musically since the passing of John Bonham.
They are all respected musicians and would be recieved as such at any venue. Someone needs to shut their whole with all that “Thank God” crap!! There I feel better already.

To give up your dreams and accomplishments is to be a failure!
Not embracing those dreams and accomplishments is disgracefull to john bonham, dedicated fans and the history of led zeppelin!
robert plant needs to take a look at his history and be grateful he was a part of one of the best bands ever and should show his apreciation of “what is and what should never be”!DON’T BE A FAILURE!

That is so messed up. I love Led Zeppelin and robert plant, but you know robert can go to hell because he is the only one saying no to the whole tour thing. That pisses me off. I love you robert plant just tour!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the word ‘reunion’ leaves a bad taste in people’s thoughts but after seeing the impact the recent ‘get together’ had on the world and the people who got to be involved– it seems sad that everyone won’t get to embrace a moment with the three original members of Led Zeppelin.

I also think if people put aside the thought of Led Zeppelin and look at it for what it is the three former members of Led Zeppelin walking down memory lane and paying tribute and respect to the mark they left on rock and roll history and to John Bonham the idea has a different meaning…that is why there should be a chance for a full tour–it would really be a swan song. I also feel that since we have the 3 original members of Led Zeppelin with us now there isn’t anyone else who can pay this type of respect to the songs or care as much about the mark they are leaving in Led Zeppelin history.

If the 3 men aren’t able to do it because of say mental, spiritual or physical reasons then I’d agree with my fellow Led Zeppelin brothers and sisters who are against a tour but since it looks like that isn’t the case and since Robert Plant is the one former member of Led Zeppelin who has been practicing Led Zeppelin songs all his life I think denying the world and fans a tour is just selfish and Rock gods can be such at times

And of course we have all the old dvds and cds but that’s not showing what could be possible if Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones were to create musical magic now…I’d even wonder what type of new music would they be able to channel…isn’t anyone curious about that?

I can’t see how anyone would be that closed minded or that locked in the past that they weren’t able to see the possibilities that are there…

But just for the record if a tour did happen does that mean those who are against it won’t be going? If so good that means more of us open-minded people have a chance to get tickets.
But in all honesty I bet there isn’t a fan that really truly hopes this doesn’t happen…because then I question how that person could really be a Led Zeppelin fan.

All the same…I’m very happy that the Rock gods did come together recently– that one moment is worth its weight in gold and left an awesome mark in the Led Zeppelin bible.
Funny that a Led Zeppelin reunion tour is still a question to ponder…guess the song still remains the same

i agree with some of what youre saying, but what about the people who never had the chance to experience one of their favorite bands, simply because they didnt exist the alst time they came around? im 16 and i love Zepplin, and know im extremly disappointed that i cant and never will see them live.

I’ve seen Plant afew times in the early 90’s. John Paul Jones shared the stage with him for 3 tunes at the Tweeter Center in Mass. Saw Page when he did a solo act…kinda remember it too!
Then saw Jason Bonham open for the Cult as well. Thats all we would have gotten with this so called tour. But with no Daddy Bonham?
Led Zeppelin was the type of band who without the entire 4 members lose the “almighty” part of it.
Sure I would have gone to see them afew shelling out hundreds but the real zeppelin is no longer. Better off seeing Lez Leppelin.

I didn’t think it was going to happen,anyway,for Robert Plant was always into never reuniting with Page,Jones,and Jason Bonham and just leaving the Mighty Zep dead and buried forever,for we’re lucky that the likes of Sex Pistols,The Police,and even David Lee Roth with Van Halen ever got together again at all.

Oh wow, it’s ok but there’s nothing wrong with aging people, Look at judas priest, Rob Halford’s vocals are powerful and sound much better than the early ears, you know like when aged wine become certainly more precious…and by saying “this generation” as if this generation is from another planet, you should be thankful that “this generation” looked up to the other generation and that’s how it’s been since before your or my generation ever existed, but i understand if you’re being sarcastic it’s funny, but let’s assume you’re completely serious, then i’d have to say that you should really reconsider every thought you try to entitle “this generation” to because “this generation” is from planet earth, so include yourself you were growing up Led was rocking out while other frank sinatra and elvis fans were confused, but since you and “this generation” are into the huge big world of rock and roll/metal, we know our history and we pass it on to the next “this generation.

Agreed with prehistoric musicman. John Bonham was just as much a major part of Led Zeppelin as Jimmy Page was, and they couldn’t do a reunion tour without him. It’s unfortunate that this day and age can’t relish in the amazing experience of a Led concert, but even if they could have continued without John, it wouldn’t be right. R.I.P.

I would have to agree with Robert Plant, it may be magical for some people that never saw Zeppelin in their original day, However Jason Bonham is not like his father. To me it is a total different act, just like AC DC is like without Bon Scott, Queen without Freddie Mercury, and so on. True magic at one time without being paid millions just to be a fragment of what was.

Reunion TOUR? Did not Van Halen try this without Michael Anthony? Michael is still alive and to me Van Halen never created the same buzz that they had when they toured the original album.

Acoustic Zeppelin has been done a few times by Plant and Page however they never called it Zeppelin. My hats off to you Robert. We can all live in the past but we can never really create what once happened Led Zeppelin lives on vinyl not live as a key member is dead. Rest in Peace Jon … Those of us who saw you will never forget the true Led Zeppelin.

What a sour puss you are LOL I think people who use that excuse are robbing the world of a magical moment because unless you are psychic there is no way to really know what would come of a tour that involves Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones…We are all wise enough to know it is not Led Zeppelin..and most of us are able to understand that the three men are able to bring a seasoned fresh view and energy to the stage that would echo the past but leave us all with a new chapter. My dream is an acoustic set where the gentlemen take a moment and share the past and enlighten fans about the songs history and how they feel now. If you have the Led Zeppelin DVD that moment where the band sits down and plays can get the idea– and when will people get over the whole aged musician thing…BB King, Chuck Berry along with Jerry Lee are able to rock and roll better than the young-uns. I hope you’re playing opposite day and come to your senses on what we’d all be missing. BTW Robert Plant has said no before and look what that got us…never say never and honor comes when you show people you still know how to rock and roll and hopefully please a few sour pusses along the way
