Drummer Matt Traynor took a break during the Taste Of Chaos tour to answer some questions for me via email – so here are the results!

Not being a too well-known band, do you think the Taste of Chaos Tour will help to get your name and music out there?
That is one of the main reasons why we took the offer to play the tour. Most of the crowd is metal fans for the amazing metal bands on the tour, so hopefully we can get our name out to those fans.

If you could only use three words to describe the Taste of Chaos Tour what would they be and why?
Corn, Steak, Milk. The tour is a big mix of awesome bands. You have the great Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu and Bullet. Then you pull in a different mix with all the Japaneese rock bands. And to top it off, Idiot Pilot and us. Its a great mix of sweet music.

Without Craig in the band, how you do guys come up with new ways to get the crowd involved in your music?
I dont think it was really up to Craig to get the crowd involved with us in the first place. We all bring the rock and passion on stage when we play and jared, being a new temporary front man, he is doing a really good job of throwing down and goings nuts.

Do you think you music will change, with the member changes, or do you still want to write that same type of music?
The music wont change, we are the same musicians, in fact its going to be alot better than before. We have grown as musicians and have put a lot of maturity into our new material. The new frontman will top it off with some sweet vox.

Does Aiden bring a lot to the band as your new bass player? Are you going to keep him in the band as your bass player?
Right now, he is our fill in bass player for Jared while we are without a front man. He is the most rad dude ever. We will see what happens as time goes on, but as of now, eric wants to just play guitar and jared wants to go back to bass.

In your opinion, do you think Jared is a good front man and why did you choose him?
Jared is doing a good job. It takes some balls to drop the bass and start to do the front man job. He’s in the crowd, on top of the crowd and always goes nuts. I think he gets better and better everyday. But its not his job in the band, and i dont think it will stay this way.

Writing a new album? Can we know anything about it, or is it all a secret?
Nothing is secret lol. We have 6 songs so far and we are VERY proud of them. Obviously vocals are not put to those yet, but I’m sure they will rock once we find someone. The record should be written and recorded this summer.

Who are your biggest influences and why?
We all push each other to the limits and give each other inspiration to go on and try harder. So i would have to say we all influence each other to do bigger and better things.

If you could take lessons from any rock star dead or alive who would it be and what would you want to learn from him?
If i could have drum lessons for a drummer, it would have to be Jordan from As I Lay Dying. He has some of the fastest feet in metal. I wish i could sound like a machine gun.

How is Science Records treating you? Do you think they promote you well?
Science is awesome. They are growing just as we are growning. At first it was rocky, but they have grown and are kickin butt now. Science is full of great people.

Any last comments?
Come check us out on Taste of Chaos, this may be the last time you see us with Jared as the front man, so its a pretty neat thing. Be ready for new tunes this summer. Keep up the love and support because we are still out here pushing hard and playing the music we love.
