Fox News Inches Closer To Idiocracy
August 21st, 2008 by BaconstripSome might argue that Fox News is indeed idiocracy, what with their unfair and biased coverage (though they claim “fair and balanced”), the frequent fear mongering, lies by omission, outright lies, sketchy ‘experts’ such as Karl Rove and Newt Gingrich just to name a few . . . and the way they make ‘news’ out of ‘question mark headlines’ that aren’t even news. Much of the time crap analysis, opinion pieces slanted towards the right & entertainment stories fill up most of the channel when they aren’t scaring the bejesus out of you.
Nope not talking about ANY of that here.
What i am talking about is how Fox News’ appearance is inching closer to the look of the TV’s in the film “Idiocracy” . . . look below for yourself (and notice the headline and stories listed falling into some of the caegories I listed above! *lol* classic . . . )
Fox is getting there just gotta add some crap at the top and the left . . . I heard Fox will premiere “Ow My Balls” this fall . . .

Other than the non-partisan organization, Center for Media and Public Affairs, has rated Fox News as the most balanced of all news networks and the fact that Fox News enjoys the highest ratings, your post is nearly 100% accurate.

O’Reilly & Hannity are politcal commentators, not news reporters. Their jobs are to have an opinion– like op-ed writers in newspapers. CNN, MSNBC, and the networks employed left-wing polical hacks like Chris Matthews and George Stephanopoulos and no one seems to have any problems with that. Plus their news stories are obviously slanted left. If Fox wants to slant the news right, (not saying they do) they’d have every right. See who makes the most money. The free market doesn’t lie.
I completely agree, although it’s funny to watch…sometimes is more entertaining than the daily show. This shows that the IQ in this country is lowering thus you have it show by the status of the economy. FOX is trying to keep you occupied with graphics and babe news anchors to keep you from what’s really going on. I don’t watch this channel for the news. I watch it for entertainment purposes and the skirts.

Fox News is just as hilarious as hearing that Daddy Yankee was endorsing McDoomsDayCain yesterday because he is a “fighter for the hispanic community.” I have no idea where the hell he got that insight, apparently Daddy Yankee is a Fox News watcher.
I must disagree with all of you here. In my opinion, key work there is opinion, ESPN is the all time most biased group in the world. Their top 10 plays seem to be more important than their actual news stories. and if you look at the top ten, its the same diving catch 5 other people just did, or the same hit over a wall as the 3 other people. You occasionally see a football or basketball highlight on there, with the rare hockey. Now what get me is that I watched a NHL game, Colombus Blue Jackets and Detroit Red Wings, and saw an amazing goal by one of the blue Jackets, One of the greatest goals I have ever seen, It didn’t even make the top ten, but you know what did? CUP STACKING!!!!!!

I watch them all and this website is way more biased than any of them. Including Fox News. All the networks have ex-advisors etc working for them and biased journalists etc ie:George Stephanopoulos. Maybe you could get me to agree with what you are saying if you were giving out the whole story. But you are exactly like those you are complaining about and so are the other news channels. The CFR is so powerful it created the UN, has backed and created radical ‘terrorist’ groups through out the world, and is the driving force (Robert A. Pastor) behind the North American Union.

I feel Fox is tilted to the right a bit just as i would say that MSNBC is tilted left cnn is pretty unbias in my option. On the right you have bill and on the left you have keith they are both pretty bias. I dont think fox gets more views than either cnn or msnbc

i work at a computer 40 hours a week and i make a strong effort to compare news sources and i find that honestly fox news truley is the most balanced news source. not to say it is completley unbias. every news source has their own agendas and political motivations. if the liberals want to talk about the conservatives being the only ones on this site drinking the kool aid then you all need to do some serious introspection. the same goes for conservatives. if in fact fox was entirley to the right you could not argue that it would make them in the minority among news sources. the left wing propoganda machine is way more powerful and the worst part of it is based almost entirely on the mochary of the right wing. if you listen to people like hannity or rush you will hear men discussing policies. the liberals fail in this aspect because the liberals base their policies on emotion rather than logic. i perfer to practice in logic. prime example air america failed because the liberal way of thinking is ilogical and the liberals perfer to laugh at the right wing in all their glorious arrogance and elitism rather than getting down to brass tax.
lets compare the headlines of msnbc and fox. these are the headlines right now. fox headline “obama makes his case for $800b stimulus plan” now msnbc “obama: a crisis unlike any we have seen” now who practices in fear again? this goes to my earier point of emotion and logic. fox stating facts and msnbc instilling fear.
I think Baconstrip might just be angry he isn’t a pundit. I can understand it might be hard for people to take a story from someone with that name seriously. This article itself is pure bias and a good example of people complaining about something they themselves are doing. This story is devoid of any FACTS. The “experts” you are referring to are called “contributor’s” and all the channels have them. I would think a Speaker of the House would know quit a bit about politics and after Nancy Pelosi is done I doubt anyone will complain about her being a contributor to any channel that picks her up.
The most ridiculous is comparing the picture screens. On the top you have actual stories and the bottom is satire. Comparing a story about a tornado or missing hitch hikers to Ow! My Balls! is idiotic in itself. Besides, that movie was about society and the government and not news agencies.
