Life on Life’s Terms
Trustkill Records

I never really knew what Bedlight for Blue Eyes sounded like. Before checking out
Life on Life’s Terms I only heard one song, but I have to say I enjoy what I’m hearing here.

Being signed to Trustkill, I kind of had my premonitions of what they would sound like musically, but I was dead wrong. I’m sure you are sitting there thinking the same thing, so I will tell you that these guys are not any type of metal normally associated with their record label. They offer a very solid take on modern indie rock, blended with a little emo. “Without You (We Are Everything)” is a good all-around effort, really exercising BFBE’s quality musicianship, including clean vocals with decent range and a nice little guitar solo as well. “The City and the Ghost” and “Waste My Time” are firm modern rock tracks that should see their way onto your iPod and the semi-acoustic ballad “Walk With Me” is the smartest song of the outing. At the risk of sounding cliché, this really sounds like a track that a TV drama would use in some type of video montage. You know those shows like CSI or Without a Trace that use indie music in order to attempt to gain some type of credibility.

At the end of the day, Life on Lifer’s Terms is a good record. I would actually recommend this CD to all fans of rock music.
